About TradeUpHub

Our purpose

We exist to solve a specific problem: smart meters that have stopped being smart – meters that are installed, technically sound, but not communicating reliably via DCC.

Non-communicating meters drive up cost-to-serve, increase GSOP exposure and create avoidable customer complaints. We built TradeUpHub to focus purely on communications recovery rather than more generic fieldwork.

Our experience

TradeUpHub was founded by people who’ve worked in the smart metering industry for years, across both field operations and portfolio management. We’ve seen first-hand how real-world properties, customer behaviour and DCC quirks interact.

Data-driven, not guesswork

We use DCC Other User services to triage issues before rolling a van and to validate outcomes afterwards. This keeps field time focused and builds a feedback loop between portfolio data and on-the-ground reality.

Structured processes

Every visit follows documented RAMS and lone-working routes, including pre-call, site arrival, doorstep conduct and evidence capture. We design our routes to sit alongside your own customer and vulnerability policies.

Clear, usable outputs

We report back in structured formats that are easy to load into your systems – not just free-text notes. That makes it easier for you to analyse outcomes and decide which sites need further fieldwork or exchanges.
